Roller

A roller is a smooth, rounded mound on a motocross or supercross track that can be jumped or rolled over.

A roller is a gentle, rounded hump on a motocross or supercross track. Unlike a sharp-faced jump, it can be jumped, rolled over with the wheels on the ground, or combined with other rollers in a rhythm section.

Faster riders try to keep the bike low and pump the face of each roller to gain speed instead of flying high, because time in the air is often slower than staying on the ground.

For beginners rollers are good practice for body position: stand, keep elbows up, let the bike move under you and stay off the brakes on the face.
