Rhythm section

A rhythm section is a run of closely spaced jumps on a motocross or supercross track that riders clear in different combinations.

A rhythm section is a series of jumps placed close together on a motocross or supercross track. Unlike a single big jump, the obstacles can be taken in different combinations: doubling two, tripling three or rolling some of them, depending on speed and confidence.

Getting through quickly is about timing. The rider needs the right speed at the entry, a planned combination and smooth throttle and body movement so the bike lands on the down slope of each jump.

Beginners should roll through first and learn the spacing before trying to double or triple. Walking the track before riding helps you see where combinations are possible.
