Bikini Fairing

A bikini fairing is a small handlebar or fork-mounted cowl around the headlight that deflects a little wind from the rider's chest.

A bikini fairing is a small fairing that surrounds the headlight, often with a short screen on top. It is usually fixed to the fork or handlebar and turns with the steering. It is common on café racers, naked bikes and some retro and street models.

Compared with no fairing at all, a bikini fairing takes some wind pressure off the rider's chest at motorway speeds and can also hold instruments. It does not protect the legs or hands and does much less than a half or full fairing.

Choose one designed for your headlight size and fork diameter, and check that cables and brake lines are not pinched at full steering lock. A heavy fairing mounted on the bars can affect steering feel.
