Riders' meeting

A riders' meeting is a briefing before a race or group ride covering the schedule, route, flags, safety rules and changes.

A riders' meeting is a short briefing held before a race, enduro, rally stage or organised group ride. Organisers explain the schedule, track or route changes, flag signals, penalties, safety rules and practical details such as refuelling and paddock rules.

At competitions attendance is often compulsory, and missing it can lead to a penalty. Information given there can override what was published earlier, for example a shortened course after rain.

Arrive on time, listen carefully, and ask if something is unclear. It is also a good moment to learn who the marshals and medical staff are.
