Graphics (Graphics Kit)

Graphics are the printed vinyl decals stuck onto a motorcycle's plastics, tank, fairing or number plates. On motocross and enduro bikes a full graphics kit covers the shrouds, side panels, fenders and number boards, often with the rider's name and race number.

Besides styling, thick laminated graphics protect the plastics from scratches caused by boots, roost and crashes. Kits are made to fit specific models and years, because panel shapes change between generations.

For a good result, fit graphics to new or thoroughly cleaned and degreased plastics, warm the vinyl gently with a heat gun around curves and press out air bubbles from the centre outwards.
