Roadbook holder and remote

A roadbook holder scrolls the rally roadbook on the handlebars; a bar-mounted remote moves it and resets or corrects the trip meter.

A roadbook holder (scroller) is a box mounted in front of the handlebars that holds the paper roadbook on two rollers. Turning the rollers, either by hand or with a small electric motor, advances the roll box by box as the rider progresses. Many riders now use tablets with roadbook apps instead.

A roadbook remote is a switch block on the handlebar that scrolls the roadbook and controls the trip meter without taking a hand off the bars. Riders use it to reset the partial distance at each box, or to add or subtract small amounts when the trip reading drifts from the roadbook.

Mount the holder securely with good visibility, protect the wiring and keep a spare manual method in case the electrics fail.
