Enduro

Enduro is off-road endurance racing on mixed terrain against the clock, and also the name of the light, often road-legal bikes built for it.

Enduro is a form of off-road motorcycle sport in which riders cover long routes over forest tracks, rocks, mud and hills, with timed special tests along the way. Liaison sections link the tests, often on public roads, so enduro bikes are usually registered with lights and number plates. Variants include classic enduro, cross-country and hard enduro.

An enduro bike is close to a motocross bike but with softer suspension settings, wider-ratio gearbox, larger fuel tank, lights, a side stand and sometimes an electric starter and cooling fan.

Enduro is popular in Estonia, Finland and the rest of the Baltic and Nordic countries thanks to plenty of forest terrain. Riding still requires landowner permission or organised events and tracks.
