The design, dimensions, and double-sided receptacles of the throttle cable are based on the original. However, this throttle cable features an inner PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) sliding sleeve. The high self-lubricating properties of PTFE provide durable and very smooth sliding without the need for additional lubrication.
PTFE cables should never be lubricated afterward, as lubricants cause the sliding material to swell and therefore have exactly the opposite effect.
