The life of a plug is determined by the type of fuel, engine condition, operating times and engine temperature. With 4-stroke engines from 250ccm on, the candles should be cleaned or changed after 6000km. With smaller engine capacities, especially with 2-stroke engines, approx. every 2500km. Oil carbon deposits lead to starting difficulties and loss of power caused by the spark plug after this mileage already. Increased short-distance operation and poor engine oil quality can shorten the intervals.
