NGK, the world market leader for spark plugs, has taken a big step into the world of high technology with the new Iridium IX spark plug. Laboratory tests have shown that iridium turns a spark plug into a power spark plug. From space travel to the road, that is the quantum leap in spark plug research!
The secret of the new Iridium IX spark plug lies in the laser-welded electrode made of iridium. Due to its "minimal" diameter of only 0.6mm, it limits the ignition voltage.
