The service life of a spark plug depends on the type of fuel, engine condition, operating hours and engine temperature. For 4-stroke engines with 250cc or more, the spark plug should be cleaned or replaced after 6000km. With smaller displacement, especially 2-stroke engines, approximately every 2500km. After this mileage, oil carbon deposits cause starting difficulties and loss of power due to the spark plug. Increased short-distance driving and poor engine oil quality can shorten the intervals.
