Piston SCHMITT Schmitt Sport Vertex 41.96 oversize -4- for Simson S51, S53, S70, S83, SR50

Schmitt presents the first piston here from the Italian premium manufacturer VERTEX, suitable for Simson mopeds and mokicks.
This piston is designed with a 41.96 nominal diameter – 4th oversize – for 41 mm diameter, 60 cc cylinders as a replacement for the original piston. The two 1 mm piston rings coated with a hard chrome layer and the aluminum alloy with a very high silicon content make this piston a top-quality product. Two additional lubrication holes have been added for the 12 mm gudgeon pin. These are axially offset so as not to weaken the piston pin guide. C-clips or G-clips can be used as piston clips, as a suitable recess for removing C-clips has been provided. The piston is balanced and therefore has a low tendency to tilt, which increases service life and reduces vertical running marks. Another important detail is the rounded piston ring pins: sharp-edged pins weaken the impact from the piston ring over time and often break precisely at this point.
