Piston SCHMITT 37.96 -A0- for Simson S51, S53, SR50, KR51/2

Schmitt presents the first piston series from Italian premium manufacturer VERTEX suitable for Simson mopeds and mokicks.
This piston is designed with a nominal diameter of 37.96 -A0- for 38mm (diameter), 50cc liners as a replacement exclusively for the Schmitt cylinder STT48774. The two 1mm piston rings covered with a hard chrome layer and the aluminum alloy with a very high silicon content make this piston a top-of-the-line product. Two additional lubrication holes have been added for the 12mm piston pin. These are axially offset so as not to weaken the piston pin guide. C-clips or G-clips can be used as piston clips, as a suitable recess for removing C-clips has been provided here! The piston is balanced and therefore has a low tendency to tilt, which increases service life and reduces vertical running marks. An important detail is the rounded piston ring pins: Sharp-edged pins weaken the impact from the piston ring over time and break quite frequently exactly at this point.
