Sport tourer

A sport tourer combines sport bike performance with touring comfort: a more upright position, wind protection and luggage options.

A sport tourer blends the performance and handling of a sport bike with the comfort and equipment of a touring bike. Typical features are a strong engine, a half or full fairing with an adjustable screen, a more upright riding position, room for a passenger, a larger fuel tank and mounts for panniers.

Many also come with cruise control, heated grips and electronic suspension, making them well suited to long trips across Europe at a brisk pace, including on twisty mountain roads.

When choosing, sit on the bike with the luggage you plan to carry, and check weight, seat height and pillion comfort, as these vary a lot between models.
