Singletrack

Singletrack is a narrow trail wide enough for only one bike at a time, typical of enduro and forest riding.

Singletrack is a narrow trail that can only be ridden in single file. It is the heart of enduro and trail riding: tight turns between trees, roots, rocks, ruts and sudden climbs and descents.

Riding singletrack well is about looking ahead through the turns, using the clutch and rear brake to control speed, staying light on the bars and keeping momentum rather than outright speed. Narrower handlebars and good hand guards help in dense forest.

Ride only where motor vehicles are allowed. In Estonia and the rest of the Nordic and Baltic region, riding off public roads generally needs landowner permission, and organised trail events or private tracks are the safe option.
