Cardo Venture – an off-road helmet with an integrated Mesh intercom and speakers and acoustics developed by JBL. Cardo Venture combines an off-road helmet, DMC group communication and a JBL sound system in one factory-integrated construction. It was created for motorcyclists who regularly ride off-road with others and want to use an intercom without installing an additional control unit on the outside of the helmet. The second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication system enables conversation in a group of up to 31 motorcyclists. The built-in 40 mm speakers developed by JBL enable conversation, music and announcements, while voice control reduces the need to use buttons while riding. The helmet and intercom are designed as one system In a standard helmet, the intercom must be installed separately, after which the position of the speakers, microphone and wires must be adjusted. The Cardo Venture communication system was taken into account when the helmet was designed. The electronics are integrated into the construction, so there is no additional protruding control unit on the helmet shell. This reduces the number of parts mounted on the outside and simplifies preparation of the equipment for riding. All electronic components are removable and serviceable. The manufacturer has also provided the possibility of replacing them with newer components, allowing the communication system to be updated independently of the rest of the helmet. Mesh connection for a group of up to 31 motorcyclists The second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication enables conversation in a group of up to 31 people. The system’s stated range is up to 1,6 km, but the actual range depends on terrain, obstacles and surrounding conditions. The solution is suitable for enduro tours, training and recreational off-road riding when rapid information sharing with the entire group is more important than a conventional connection between two people. Cardo Venture also supports Live Bluetooth Intercom, which enables connection with devices from other leading brands. This simplifies communication in groups using different systems. 40 mm Sound by JBL speakers and voice control The built-in 40 mm speakers developed by JBL are designed for conversation, listening to music and receiving announcements. Their factory-defined positioning eliminates the need to fit the sound system into the helmet interior yourself. The Natural Voice Operation function allows selected functions to be controlled by voice commands. This reduces the need to use controls while riding and helps you focus on the route. The system also enables music sharing and wireless software updates through a smartphone app. The electronics have IP67 certification, meaning they are prepared for exposure to water and dirt encountered during off-road riding. Construction prepared for off-road riding Cardo Venture uses a composite shell and four-density EPS liner designed to absorb impact energy. The helmet complies with ECE R22.06 and DOT type-approval requirements. 360° Turbine technology is based on elastic discs placed inside the helmet. In the event of an impact, they allow the shell to move slightly in relation to the head. According to the manufacturer, the solution helps reduce rotational forces acting on the head, while the turbine material also absorbs some of the energy of lower-intensity impacts. The construction is complemented by: emergency-removable cheek pads, a DD-type fastening, three shell sizes for six helmet sizes. Adjustable PRO-FIT™ fit The PRO-FIT™ system uses a modular set of spacers that allows the helmet interior to be fitted more precisely to the shape of the head. A secure fit is especially important during off-road riding, when the motorcyclist frequently changes position, travels over uneven ground and is exposed to jolts. Six sizes based on three shell sizes also help match the helmet’s external profile more closely to the user. Ventilation during fast and technical riding Large air intake openings and internal ventilation channels support airflow both at higher speeds and on slower technical sections. This is important off-road, where considerable physical effort may be required even at low riding speeds. Effective ventilation helps reduce the helmet’s internal temperature on demanding rides. The Ionic+® liner limits the growth of bacteria that cause unpleasant odours. This helps keep the helmet interior fresher for longer during intensive use.
