The Expand Mesh headset offers a safer way to communicate during outdoor sports and activities. Whether rock climbing, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, hunting, or even paragliding, the Expand Mesh allows convenient full-duplex group communication at extended ranges without shouting or using hand signals. Recreational activities can be much safer with Mesh Intercom™ technology for fast and efficient communication.
When using the Expand Mesh, you can communicate hands-free with other Sena Mesh Intercom™ users up to 400 m away, or up to 1.6 km away with 6 or more users. The Expand Mesh features both Group Mesh Mode and Multi-Channel Open Mesh Mode, supporting 9 channels and allowing users to switch between different groups on different frequencies. Sena’s Mesh platform offers flexibility by allowing users to enter and leave range while keeping the rest of the group connected without interruption.
The Expand Mesh was designed with a low-profile form factor that sits comfortably over the user's ears while still allowing awareness of surrounding sounds. The Expand Mesh has rounded arms located just above the speakers, providing a secure hold on the head and ears. The device’s low-hanging neck band also allows users to wear a hat, climbing helmet, or glasses while using the Expand Mesh headset.
In addition to the built-in intercom system, the Expand Mesh allows Bluetooth® connection with a smartphone. Once paired, you can listen to music, hear GPS directions, receive cues from fitness apps, or take a phone call. Sena’s Audio Multitasking™ allows users to listen to audio from a smartphone while communicating over the Mesh Intercom system without disrupting the conversation. The Expand Mesh is also compatible with the Sena Outdoor App, which allows users to set up intercom groups, adjust device settings, and access the device’s Quick Start Guide on the go.
