Engine YX 160cc V3 KLX-type cylinder head

We offer a YX 160cc engine equipped with its KLX-type cylinder head, the most renowned engine in Minimoto racing.

This engine was developed on the same basis as the 150cc YX KLX-type engine; compared with the 150cc version, only the piston stroke changes.

The difference from the YX 149cc engine is substantial: the parts configuration is completely different. The 160cc version features a KLX cylinder head instead of a CRF head, reinforced engine casings, a larger piston (60mm bore instead of 56mm), and much larger valves, giving the engine more low-end power.

You can also upgrade this engine to 4-valve operation by using the optional YX 4S cylinder head (available on our website). The engine can be further upgraded with a KEIHIN PE28 carburetor and a Doma Racing (or Volt) exhaust. Remember to check your settings—carburetor, valves, and timing—once your new YX engine is installed! Once this is done, open the throttle and leave your competitors behind!
