This multi-angle helix corrects the gear ratio and upshifting when using tires larger than stock. This kit is our ultimate recommendation for units with 31"–35" tires. The stock helix is straight 45° and provides linear upshifting, but when adding larger tires, this causes upshifting to be too harsh for takeoff. This, in turn, puts too much stress on the belt, which can cause it to slip when driving slowly on harsh terrain or hauling a heavy load. Our multi-angle helix slows upshifting at lower speeds and corrects the gear ratio so that the unit still feels just like driving with stock tires, even when fitted with oversized tires. After the speed exceeds 25 km/h, the helix starts to upshift more, resulting in lower cruising RPM. The unit's top speed remains the same as with the stock helix.
