Battery dimensions

The replacement battery does not necessarily have to have exactly the same dimensions as the original battery.

As long as the battery fits correctly in its compartment, installation is possible, provided that the vehicle's electrical specifications are respected (voltage, capacity and technology where necessary).

However, it is essential that the battery is properly secured so that it cannot move while the vehicle is in use (vibrations, impacts, braking, etc.).

In addition, the battery must not be subjected to any pressure once installed. The cover or fastening elements must not place excessive strain on the casing, in order to prevent damage or malfunction.

If there is a small amount of play in the compartment, it is recommended to use suitable foam padding or a spacer to hold the battery in place without compressing it. This solution ensures effective support while preserving its integrity.

To ensure proper vehicle operation, it is recommended to replace your battery with a model having the same voltage (V) and equivalent capacity (Ah).

Voltage:

Your replacement battery must comply with the vehicle's original voltage.

A lower-voltage battery (for example, replacing a 12V battery with a 6V battery) will not allow correct operation.

A higher-voltage battery (for example, replacing a 12V battery with a 24V battery) may damage the vehicle's electrical components (controller, wiring harness, motor, lighting, etc.).

It is therefore advisable to use the same voltage as the original battery.

Amperage / capacity (Ah):

A slight difference in capacity may be acceptable depending on the installation, but it is recommended to stay close to the original value.

A battery with lower amperage may reduce the vehicle's range and performance.

A battery with higher amperage may change the range and charging time, but it must comply with the available dimensions, the battery type used and the compatibility of the installed charger.

For this 12V 5Ah battery, we recommend staying within a range of 4Ah to 6Ah.
