Ball bearing BGM PRO rear wheel Lambretta series 1-3

Special rear wheel bearing from BGM PRO for Lambretta engines in series 1 to 3.
The special bearing, manufactured exclusively for Lambretta, has an integrated shaft seal.
The BGM bearing does not require the shaft seal ring to be installed, as the high-quality sealing ring (NBR) is already fitted.

The bearing clearance is adapted to the installation characteristics of Lambretta engines. It remains sufficiently large when fully assembled, preventing the bearing from running too tightly. The high-quality seal combined with the precise bearing clearance tolerance provides a solid basis for a very long service life.

INSTALLATION
To install the bearing, heat the engine housing (with a hot-air gun) and cool the bearing (in the freezer compartment or with ice spray). As soon as the bearing is installed and has warmed up due to the hot engine housing, the main shaft can be inserted. The slightly warmed inner ring of the bearing also makes it easier to install a Casa Lambretta main shaft that is much tighter than the original one.

When subsequently installing the bearing shield, the permissible torque must be observed.
Due to the design, the slim M6 stud bolts bend outwards if the tightening torque is too high and can consequently damage the engine housing.
As a guide value for the four stud bolts, 4.7 - 5.2Nm is specified.
