Knox Shield MK2 – Motorcycle Jeans The Shield MK2 are Knox’s strongest and most technologically advanced jeans, achieving a high-performance Class AAA rating. This level of protection, typically reserved for one-piece leather suits, is delivered in a single-layer stretch denim with a flattering high-waisted slim fit. Key Technical Features: UHMWPE Fibre: Constructed using Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, one of the world’s strongest fibres—15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than aramid. It is exceptionally light and resistant to wear and tear. Thermoregulation & Hygiene: The UHMWPE fibres naturally pull heat away from the body to keep the rider cool and effectively repel moisture. The fabric is also hypoallergenic to prevent skin irritation. CE Class AAA Certified: Conforms to the EN17092-2:2020 standard, representing the highest possible safety rating for motorcycle apparel. Micro-Lock Compact Armour: Fitted with low-profile CE-approved hip and knee protectors as standard. Two invisible external zipped pockets allow for easy removal of knee armour. Intended Use: Designed for riders demanding the maximum available protection without the bulk or heat of traditional leather or multi-layer gear. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline. This will usually be the smallest part. Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips. As a guide this is often 7.5inches (20cm) below your waist. Inside Leg: Measure from the top of your inside leg down to your ankle. You should do this whilst standing to get a more accurate measure. We have 2 leg lengths for women, 30″ (Regular) and 28″ (Short Leg). Please note: The measurements given are body measures and we recommend you do not measure over the clothing. Also please hold the tape measure firmly and not loosely as the measurement needs to be fitted. If you measure in between sizes, we recommend you go down one size. E.g. measure waist 27inches, go down to 26inches. Do not leave on the floor or under heavy items – it may lead to the protectors becoming misshapen, ripped, or damaged in some way. Do not fold jacket or protector in half as this may cause damage to the protector. Keep away from chemical substances that that could damage the material and lose its protective properties. Maintenance: Regular inspection (at least annually) should be made to the impact protection and fitting system for obvious signs of wear. If the impact protectors are worn or damaged or there is any doubt as to their condition, they should be replaced immediately. It is advised that the protectors are replaced every 5 years regardless of condition. If the protectors have at any time received an impact due to an accident scenario they should be replaced immediately. Wash Care: Carefully remove protectors from the garment before washing. The protectors should be cleaned by hand wash only.
