Frequently asked questions

Why does the real range differ?

Fuel consumption depends on speed, riding style, wind, load and temperature. On motorways and when riding two-up, consumption can be 20–40% higher.

Is it OK to ride on reserve?

Briefly, yes, but there may be sediment at the bottom of the tank that ends up in the fuel filter. On motorcycles with an in-tank fuel pump, the fuel also cools the pump.
