The ICON Threshold helmet marks a new chapter in modular motorcycle helmet design, blending aggressive sportbike styling with practical everyday versatility.


Engineered for riders who demand both performance and convenience, the Threshold introduces what ICON calls a sportbike-focused modular helmet, combining a sleek aerodynamic profile with a positive-locking flip-up chinbar that allows riders to quickly open the helmet at stops or during conversations without sacrificing structural integrity while riding.


The helmet’s handcrafted composite fiberglass (FRP) shell strikes an ideal balance between strength, impact management, and aerodynamic efficiency, helping reduce drag while maintaining high levels of protection. Built to meet major global standards, including ECE 22.06 and DOT certification, the Threshold offers riders confidence that it delivers modern safety performance designed for real-world street riding.


Protection, comfort and performance


Beyond protection, the Threshold helmet focuses heavily on comfort and visibility for long rides. Its high-volume ventilation system, with multiple oversized intake and exhaust ports, channels air through a sculpted EPS liner to maximize cooling and reduce rider fatigue.


The helmet also features premium optics, including a fog-free, distortion-free Threshold shield and an integrated internal DropShield sun visor that deploys instantly to combat glare without needing to swap shields mid-ride. Inside, a Hydradry™ moisture-wicking liner keeps the interior dry and breathable, while removable cheek pads and an intermediate-oval head shape deliver a secure, all-day fit for most riders.


Practical details such as emergency-release cheek pads for safer helmet removal and compatibility with ICON HelmLink Bluetooth communication systems further enhance the helmet’s functionality.
