The gear oil of the Vespa engines with gear shift is not filtered (oil filter). The BGM PRO filler/drain plugs help to keep the oil clean.

The gear oil of the Vespa manual scooter engines lubricates not only the gearbox but also the clutch and usually one of the two crankshaft bearings. However, no oil filter is used in the Vespa engine. Suspended particles and metal debris therefore always remain incorporated in the oil circuit.

• SUPERMAGNET
  The BGM PRO screws for filling or draining the gear oil have a high-quality, extremely strong NeoDym magnet built in. This allows them to retain an extremely large amount of abrasion without it ever getting back into the oil.

• FLAT DESIGN
  Because the magnet is extremely strong, it can be flush with the bolt head.
  In this way, the already encapsulated magnet is additionally protected in the screw head and cannot be damaged. Another big advantage of the short magnet is the large distance to the gearwheels. These therefore do not `sweep` the abrasion off the screw again.
  

• MATERIAL
  The screws are made of rust-free stainless steel. This makes them a permanently beautiful eye-catcher.

• SEALINGS
  We deliberately use the classic fiber gaskets as they were used by Piaggio from the factory. These offer a perfect sealing effect and protect the threads in the aluminum engine block. Copper or brass gaskets do not compress well and must be tightened to seal. This can damage the thread in the engine housing. The BGM PRO screws with their gaskets made of strong but elastic fiber material are therefore a safe choice.

• BORINGS
  The screw heads have small cross holes. Therefore, the screws can also be used in racing engines where the regulations require the oil screws to be secured with wire.
