Link pipe AKRAPOVIC Optional Link Pipe/Collector (SS) Ducati Desertx 2022-

Ducati DesertX: Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, this newly developed link pipe replaces the stock pre-muffler, where the stock catalytic converter is located, leading to a more direct gas flow and increased performance. It provides a weight reduction of 79.2% (3.8 kg) over the original link pipe, increases power by 3.2 kW (4.4 hp) at 8,600 rpm and improves torque by 5.6 Nm at 4,600 rpm when fitted to a Slip-On Line (Titanium) on a Ducati DesertX, compared with the standard stock system on the Akrapovič in-house dyno. It delivers an enhanced, sportier racing sound. This track-oriented optional part has no EC/ECE type approval and is intended for use on closed-course competition circuits only. Installation is simple plug-and-play, and ECU remapping is recommended.

When installed, the EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) becomes invalid.

Ducati Monster: Built from high-grade stainless steel, the newly developed optional link pipe is aimed at riders looking for better performance and weight reduction. Its design removes the stock pre-muffler, where the stock catalytic converter is located, allowing less restricted gas flow to aid performance in the mid and high rev range. When combined with a Slip-On Line (Titanium), it enhances power by 2.8 kW (3.8 hp) at 8,600 rpm and torque by 3.3 Nm at 7,100 rpm, when tested on the Akrapovič dyno compared with a Monster using a standard stock exhaust. It also delivers a deep racing sound. Weight is reduced by 3.8 kg, a saving of 80% over the stock version. Developed for use on closed-course tracks and racetracks only, ECU remapping is recommended for optimum performance.

Installation of the optional link pipe (SS) makes EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) invalid.
