Piston SCHMITT Sport Vertex 40.96 -A0- for Simson S51, S53, S70, S83, SR50, SR80, KR51/2

Schmitt presents the first piston series from the Italian premium manufacturer VERTEX, suitable for Simson mopeds and mokicks.
This piston is designed with a nominal diameter of 40.96 -A0- for 41mm (diameter), 60cc cylinders as a replacement for the original piston. The two 1mm piston rings coated with a hard chrome layer and the aluminium alloy with a very high silicon content make this piston a top-quality product. Two additional lubrication bore holes have been added for the 12mm gudgeon pin. These are axially offset so as not to weaken the piston pin guide. C-clips or G-clips can be used as piston clips, as a suitable recess for removing C-clips has been provided! The piston is balanced and therefore has a low tendency to tilt, which increases its service life and reduces vertical running marks. An important detail is the rounded piston ring pins: sharp-edged pins weaken the impact from the piston ring over time and often break exactly at this point.
