Very often, the leather of the scooter seat tears and the next ride in the rain completely soaks the seat foam underneath. This greatly accelerates the overall wear of the seat and is extremely uncomfortable on the next ride. The remedy is either the expensive original seat or a new seat cover.
This is stretched over the seat after removing the defective cover and stapled to the underside. The hand tacker needed for this can be purchased very cheaply at any hardware store. The cover is supplied in a carbon style. It has a braided structure, as known from seat-cover surfaces upgraded with a carbon-like look.
