To avoid exceeding the displacement classes for certain racing series, Airsal offers the 78.5cc version of the Xtrem cylinder with a 50mm bore, using the standard 40mm stroke of the Derbi crankshaft. The cylinder kit, exhaust timing and Vertex piston are identical to those of the 88cc version. Even at 80cc, this kit provides more than enough power. The 50mm bore makes it necessary to enlarge the crankcase in order to insert the cylinder. Mounting instructions are supplied with the unit.

The cylinder should only be used with suitable racing exhaust systems; a 21mm carburettor should be standard.
