This piston has the same dimensions as the original item. To prolong the life of the engine and avoid expensive repair bills, the piston should be replaced when the power starts to drop off or the engine begins to “knock”. This is generally every 5,000–10,000 km (approximately every 3,000–6,000 miles). Simply replace the old piston with the new one and everything will once again be working properly. It is advisable to order a new gasket set and small-end bearings when changing the piston.
