The service life of a spark plug depends on the fuel type, engine condition, operating hours and engine temperature. For 4-stroke engines with 250cc or more, the spark plug should be cleaned or changed after 6000km. With smaller capacity, especially 2-stroke, approx. every 2500km. After this mileage, oil carbon deposits lead to starting difficulties and loss of power caused by the spark plug. Increased short-distance operation and poor engine oil quality can shorten the intervals.
