The improved pulling power, acceleration and speed of the innovative yet tried-and-tested J. Costa variator concept are perfect for maxi scooters. The patented variator is also relatively easy to tune for large scooters.
The existing engine power is not affected.
J Costa variators use special J. Costa weights that glide instead of the standard rolling type, helping the variator open linearly and providing the “secret” to the improved performance. Overall, the kit provides quicker acceleration at lower revs and a higher ratio at the top end, increasing top speed.
This variator uses special J.Costa roller weights.
