variator POLINI Hi-Speed Evolution 2 16mm, 12.5°, for Minarelli

There are now 2 versions of "probably the best racing variator on the market" for Minarelli engines with a 16 mm crankshaft stub (manufacturer's statement). The update includes a variator body with 2 different pitch angles. The variator described here has an angle of 12.5° and is therefore somewhat narrower. This means that the V-belt runs a little further outwards and the scooter achieves a higher top speed than with the 241.753. In return, the engine is a little tamer on the throttle and shows its strengths at full throttle. In other words, the optimum variator for routes with wider bends and lots of high speed.
In addition, both variants can be used to respond to different preferences for the V-belt. As these also do not run equally well on every variator due to manufacturer-dependent different angles of the V-belt flank,
we must be aware that we are talking about absolute racing technology here, in which the differences are marginal and the variator is changed depending on the track and requirements. In street level tuning, such variator technology requires absolute sensitivity and technical expertise in order to demonstrate the differences and put them on the road.
