Stay up to date.

To ensure camera and remote compatibility, update both devices to the latest official firmware version. Connect the remote to the Insta360 app to check for new firmware.

How to update the firmware:

Open the Insta360 app, select Me > Device Settings – Accessory Settings, and connect to the remote. If a firmware update is available, follow the on-screen instructions.

1. Open Insta360 > Me > Device Settings – Accessory Settings.
2. Tap the remote to establish a connection.
3. If a firmware update is available, update the remote.
4. The app automatically downloads and sends the new firmware to the remote. Make sure your phone screen is on and do not close the app.
5. After the transfer is complete, the remote automatically restarts and begins updating. Progress is shown on the remote screen. Once the update is complete, use the remote normally.

Notes

This product contains magnets. Keep it away from pacemakers and other devices to prevent interference.

Dry the product as soon as possible after contact with water. Do not wear it while swimming or diving.

Do not use liquid cleaning agents on the product. Do not wipe the remote’s charging contacts with liquid detergent, as they may corrode and rust, affecting operation. Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.

Before using this product for surface water sports, apply a dry disposable double-sided sticker to the back of the remote and attach it to your belt for additional security.
