Muc-Off Ceramic Coating is a highly advanced, durable silicone protective coating that chemically bonds with paint to create a high-performance hydrophobic layer, providing maximum water and dirt-repelling performance. It is designed to keep your motorcycle clean for longer and make cleaning and maintenance much easier. This is because the coating drastically reduces surface tension, providing your motorcycle with long-lasting, year-round protection even in the harshest weather conditions. It also contains UV protection to ensure that paint does not fade despite exposure to sunlight and may help reduce the risk of micro-scratches. Safe to use on paint, carbon fibre, metal, wheels, vinyl and hard plastic finishes, with protection lasting up to 2 years due to its chemical resistance. Cleaning and maintenance are effortless *Follow all preparation, application and maintenance instructions on the packaging. SURFACE PREPARATION Thoroughly wash your bike with Nano Tech Bike Cleaner, Punk Powder or Snow Foam and ensure it is completely dry before starting the coating process.Depending on the condition of the paint or surface, carry out the appropriate level of paint correction to remove all defects, including swirl marks, water spots and scratches. Please note that this product is highly durable and will seal in any defects.Remove any excess paint correction or wax/polish residue by wiping all painted surfaces with surface preparation spray. Simply spray onto a microfibre cloth and wipe the surface clean. CERAMIC COATING APPLICATION We recommend applying the coating in a cool, dry and clean area with good lighting and ventilation. For non-factory finishes, test on a small inconspicuous area before full application. Shake the bottle thoroughly for 10 seconds to activate the formula.We recommend wearing protective gloves when applying the coating.Unscrew the child-resistant cap, then apply the coating sparingly and evenly using the supplied microfibre applicator. (A small amount of coating is sufficient).Starting with the highest surfaces, work in a crosshatch pattern to ensure all areas are covered. We recommend limiting the application area to approximately one wheel tube/panel at a time. Relax and take your time for the best results, applying slowly and carefully.If the coating is not applied evenly or the applicator does not glide smoothly over the surface, add additional coating to the applicator pad.Allow the wet coating to cure for 5 minutes. During this time, the coated surface will take on a rainbow appearance. Check during this time that you have covered all areas. Using the supplied microfibre cloth, lightly wipe the surface in small circular motions to achieve a high-gloss mirror finish. Check the surface from multiple lighting angles to ensure all rainbow effects have been removed; if you allow the wet coating to cure for more than 5 minutes, ensure that it is polished.After polishing, allow the coating to fully cure for 24 hours in a cool, dry place before exposing it to water or the elements. (For best results and adhesion, we recommend not washing for at least 48 hours after application).You can easily apply a second coating layer for even longer durability. Once the first layer has fully cured, simply follow the application instructions above. No repeated preparation is required.Use within 6 months of openingGo! CARE/CLEANING To properly maintain the ceramic coating, we recommend cleaning only with our Nano Tech Bike Cleaner, Punk Powder or Snow Foam. Avoid using other solvents or acidic cleaners, as these will destroy the coating much faster.Keeping the surface clean will preserve the coating's hydrophobic properties.If you notice over time that the surface starts to lose some of its hydrophobic water-repellent properties, you can simply top up and refresh the coating. To maintain optimum performance, we recommend topping it up every 6 months. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSIs ceramic protection safe to use on a titanium frame / matte finish / gloss finish / frame protection / carbon fibre frame? Titanium frame – yes, it is suitable for titanium. Matte/gloss finish – yes, Ceramic Protection is suitable for gloss and matte finishes. (When cured, it gives matte finishes a richer and darker colour tone). Frame protection – yes, it is suitable for use over frame protection. However, we recommend applying ceramic protection after installing frame protection, as frame protection may not adhere as well if applied after ceramic protection. Carbon fibre – yes, we have tested it on carbon fibre.How many applications can I get from a 30 ml bottle? On average, you can get 3–4 complete bicycles per bottle or 2 motorcycles.Why does it need to cure for so long after application? The coating needs at least 24 hours indoors in a dry place to cure and bond properly with the paint so that rain does not damage it. After 24 hours, it can safely be used outdoors, but we do not recommend washing or soaking it for at least 48 hours. The coating may continue curing for 3–5 days after application, so the longer you leave it, the better the results and durability.How long does ceramic protection last?
