Knox Shield MK2 women's motorcycle jeans, Class AAA, EN17092-2:2020

The Shield MK2 are Knox’s strongest, most technologically advanced jeans yet. This is due to their amazing strength and high-performance Class AAA rating that conforms to EN17092-2:2020. To put this in perspective, the AAA class is normally reserved for leather suits. They are single-layer Class AAA stretch jeans in a high-waisted slim fit, designed for riders looking for the strongest protection available.

Made from pioneering new denim developed for Knox with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibre. UHMWPE fibre is one of the world’s strongest and lightest fibres – it is 40% stronger than aramid and fifteen times stronger than steel.

Style Notes

Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene fibres are known for their high strength and durability, while still offering added stretch for exceptional all-day comfort on a motorcycle. As well as superior strength and comfort, UHMWPE fibre repels moisture, helping the wearer stay dry. The Shield MK2 jeans also help the rider stay cool, as the fibre’s properties draw heat away from the body. Regular wear and tear is much less of a concern due to the unique, robust nature of the UHMWPE fibre. Finally, the jeans are hypoallergenic and therefore will not cause irritation.

There are two invisible zipped armour pockets with easy external access for removal of low-profile knee protectors. Knox CE Micro-Lock Compact protectors are fitted in the hips and knees as standard.

All of this is delivered with a stylish, flattering fit that looks perfect both on and off the bike. Updated details, including new technical branding on the waist, Knox-branded rivets, a key ring and waist button, as well as YKK zips, finish these Shield jeans to the incredibly high standards on which they are built. Four deep pockets in a charcoal abstract print make gearing up in the Shield a delight.

The Shield jeans are available in classic black with a choice of a regular 30″ or short 28″ leg length. Sizes range from XS to 3XL.

Measuring Guide
Waist: Measure around the natural waistline. This will usually be the smallest part.
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips. As a guide, this is often 7.5 inches (20 cm) below your waist.
Inside Leg: Measure from the top of your inside leg down to your ankle. You should do this while standing for a more accurate measurement.

We have two leg lengths for women: 30″ (Regular) and 28″ (Short Leg). Please note that the measurements given are body measurements, and we recommend that you do not measure over clothing. Hold the tape measure firmly, not loosely, as the measurement needs to be fitted. If you measure between sizes, we recommend going down one size. For example, if your waist measures 27 inches, choose 26 inches.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Storage: Hang the garment in a dry, ventilated environment away from sunlight and direct heat sources. Do not leave it on the floor or under heavy objects, as this may cause the protectors to change shape, tear or become damaged. Do not fold the jacket or protector in half, as this may damage the protector. Keep away from chemicals that may damage the material and cause it to lose its protective properties.
Maintenance: The impact protection and fastening system should be checked regularly, at least once a year, for obvious signs of wear. If the impact protectors are worn or damaged, or if there are any doubts about their condition, they must be replaced immediately. It is recommended that the protective inserts be replaced every 5 years, regardless of their condition. If the protectors have been impacted at any time due to an accident, they must be replaced immediately.
Washing care: Carefully remove the protectors from the garment before washing. Protectors should only be cleaned by hand.
