M12 Vintage 400 – a new era of the classic series

The M12 Vintage 400 is a continuation of the M12 series in a completely new form. The M12 family draws design inspiration from classic single-track vehicles while surprising with modern technical solutions. The M12 Vintage 400 meets the needs of A2-category motorcyclists and the growing interest in motorcycles with larger engine capacities – together with the SR 400 and RX-401 models, it is Junak’s third motorcycle with a 400 cm³ (more precisely, 401 cm³) engine capacity.

Stronger design and modern details

The M12 Vintage 400 differs significantly from its smaller sibling, the M12 Vintage 125. The motorcycle has a more powerful and substantial profile, while its dynamic character is emphasized by a dual-sided exhaust system positioned on both the left and right sides. Spoked wheels have been replaced with six-spoke cast-aluminium wheels that perfectly match the larger, more substantial-looking tyres. The registration plate holder has been moved lower, beneath the rear light. The fuel tank lines have become sharper and sportier. The classic telescopic suspension has been replaced by a modern USD (upside-down) front fork, improving riding comfort and handling.

Modern engine and improved riding experience

The Junak M12 Vintage 400 is powered by a four-stroke, two-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder. A new feature on this model is liquid cooling, which ensures better cooling efficiency and a longer engine life. A balancing shaft ensures smooth, vibration-free riding. Comfort is further enhanced by a wide two-person seat positioned at a height of 735 mm.
