Clutch plates BGM PRO Superstrong `Big Ear` Racing type PK XL2/FL2/HP (also suitable for V50, 50N, PV, ET3, PK S, PK XL) - 4-discs

CR80 pads with extra wide lug for all smallframe engines

  • Pad type with 1x large lug for maximum support in the clutch basket

  • Sintered pad material like Honda CR80

  • Suitable for all Smallframe clutches

  • Pad thickness (incl. support material): 1.9mm

  • Usable with: 3x steel discs 1.0mm

  • Intended as 4-disc clutch

ADVANTAGES BGM PRO SUPERSTRONG PADS
The primary basket of the Smallframe models has an extra large recess for mounting the basket and the clutch pinion.
In this wide recess no conventional clutch lining engages, therefore the engine torque is transmitted only over 5 recesses whereby the linings can work themselves into the basket.
The BGM PRO Superstrong clutch facings, on the other hand, have an extra wide tab. They therefore grip in all 6 pockets of the primary basket and can optimally transmit the force.

DURABLE AND HUGH TOUCHING MATERIAL
The topping material used in the BGM PRO Superstrong toppings is the same high quality sintered material used in the proven CR80 racing toppings.
They offer an ideal mixture of highly resilient and grippy pad material combined with very controllable engagement behaviour, even at high engine power.

FULLY COMPATIBLE
The BGM PRO Superstrong clutch facings fit all Vespa smallframe clutches. For maximum compatibility with all types of clutches on the market, BGM uses the clutch plate type used on PK XL2 models. This is slightly larger in inner diameter than the early V50, PV, ET3, PK S as well as PK XL models, but still fully compatible with the older clutch types.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Due to the somewhat slimmer pad type of the XL2, the effective lever arm is larger and the surface pressure higher in direct comparison with the V50/PV/PK S/XL pads. Thus, despite a slightly smaller pad surface, more torque can be transmitted. Overall, the pads are significantly better performing. The total clutch facing area is only interesting for the wear factor. Due to the additional lining (4-discs instead of 3-discs), however, there is even more surface area than before.

NECESSARY CHANGES
The pads are designed as a 4-disc clutch, therefore steel discs with 1.0mm thickness are required (see accessories)
.

With 3 steel discs of 1.0mm thickness, the pad package is the same as the original, eliminating the need to use shims or spacers. The pads fit all stock clutches as well as almost all other smallframe clutches such as BGM Superstrong Smallframe, EGIG one finger clutch, Fabbri FB24, FB24Evo, FR36, Falc etc.

SUPPLY SIZE

The set contains:
4x clutch friction discs (lining on both sides)
Sufficient for one clutch

.

CONCLUSION: BGM PRO Superstrong clutch plates are an ideal upgrade for any smallframe clutch.

NOTE: Some OEM sheet metal primary baskets have an asymmetrically offset large cutout.
