Even if the C-type clip is a little more fiddly than the G-type, tuners and tuning enthusiasts alike should be looking to the C-type clip. If G-type clips are used too often they can break off at the "stub" thereby causing huge engine damage. Often times it`s vibration that causes G-style clips to break up or there is play in the gudgeon pin that forces the mounting stub to shear. The C-type can neither be loosened by the movement of the gudgeon pin, nor can it break. Ensure the circlip groove is completely clean prior to installation and that the clip sits securely in the groove. We recommend installing the opening of the clip counter to the piston rotation. 2x C-style clips included.
