The long-stroke version with 55mm stroke has a longer connecting rod (110mm instead of 105mm as standard). This provides smoother running, lower piston load and more flexibility for adjusting the cylinder control angle.

CONCLUSION
Very nice, stable and well-balanced crankshaft that should be the basis for a healthy engine in every engine.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE LONG-STROKE VERSION
The 55mm long-stroke shaft makes it possible to increase displacement and cylinder control angles elegantly. Performance can be increased significantly once again.

Please note that the additional 3mm stroke must be compensated with a corresponding 1.5mm compensation gasket at the cylinder head or cylinder base. The required 5mm spacer (not included) only compensates for the longer connecting rod. The additional 3mm stroke must therefore also be compensated with a 1.5mm gasket or a correspondingly machined cylinder head.

A base gasket increases the cylinder control angle and thus provides the prerequisite for sporty, speed-oriented power delivery. For full power, however, the exhaust angle often has to be increased to compensate for the disproportionately increased transfer angle compared with the exhaust angle. For everyday engines, it is usually recommended to compensate for the stroke with a 1.5mm head gasket (or a corresponding cylinder head).

NOTE
The lifting of the cylinder at the cylinder base, which is necessary with long-stroke crankshafts, also shifts the exhaust mounting point. This may need to be modified accordingly so that it can be mounted on the engine/cylinder again without tension.
