Front brake drum 9" + 10" -BGM PRO grey cast iron Vespa V50 R (V5A1T up to no. 752188), V50 N, V50 S, V50 L, SR50, V90Brake drum "Made in Germany" by Strohspeed for BGM PRO. Fits all Vespa V50 models with 4-hole rim.
Made of high quality cast iron, it offers enormous advantages compared to conventional brake drums made of thin steel sheet:

• no distortion due to hot braking
• perfect concentricity due to exact centering over the wheel shaft (tol. 0.02mm!)
• no more braking rubbing again
• no more heat dissipation through the cooling fins
• much more stable due to total wall thickness of 11.5mm (of which 6.5mm cooling fins)
• additional reinforcement through cooling fins
• no brake fading under permanent load (temperature max. 200-240°)

With this brake drum even a Vespa V50 finally brakes really well!

Note: The brake drums are delivered oiled for protection against corrosion. Please remove the oil before assembly (e.g. with brake cleaner, see accessories). As with all cast iron brake drums, they corrode if they are not protected and get damp. For protection, the outside of the brake drum can be coated with heat-resistant exhaust paint. In this way the drum also remains visually attractive for a long time.
