BGM PRO oil seal crankshaft PX (type extra flat with 3.5mm) made of high quality and ethanol resistant (E10) FKM/VitonÂ®*.

EXTRA FLAT VERSION (31x62.1x5.8/3.5mm)
The shaft seal on the clutch side in its normal height (4.3mm) is a bit too high for many engine cases (e.g. Malossi).
Depending on the tolerances, as well as a possible spacer of the bearing, a shaft seal of conventional height can rest on the bearing inner ring.
Experienced mechanics have so far solved this problem by grinding down the oil seal.
The BGM shaft seal is a simple and practical solution.
With the reduced height (3.5mm instead of 4.3mm) they offer 100% sufficient distance to the bearing in every engine.
They are therefore compatible and applicable to any engine design.

WHY FKM/VITONÂ®
The material FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) is extremely resistant to heat, friction and fuel/ethanol.
In Germany, current premium fuel already contains up to 5% ethanol admixture per se. In other countries, the ethanol/alcohol content is significantly higher.
Conventional shaft seals can swell or soften on contact with ethanol-containing fuels. BGM PRO FKM/VitonÂ® shaft seals, on the other hand, offer perfect protection.
In addition, Viton is twice as temperature resistant as conventional (blue) NBR shaft seals, has very good gas impermeability and is also very resistant to aging.

An engine equipped with BGM PRO FKM/VitonÂ® shaft seals can therefore also be operated with E10 fuel (10% alcohol content) without any problems.
The high-quality brown VitonÂ®* sealing material is permanently resistant to alcohol and is also suitable for engines with high temperature loads and high speeds.
BGM PRO FKM/VitonÂ® shaft seals are therefore suitable for all engines, whether original or tuned high-performance engine.

The BGM PRO oil seals offer a double sealing as an additional feature. All oil seals that seal to the atmosphere have a so-called dust lip. This is positioned in front of the actual sealing lip and keeps dust, dirt and moisture out. This further increases the very good stability.
