Malossi high-performance 282cc aluminium cylinder for maxi scooters with 250cc Quasar engines. Top performance with the 4-valve head. Excellent manufacturing quality, and the head alone provides 15–20% more power. Delivery includes a complete cylinder kit and pre-assembled 4-valve cylinder head (without camshaft).
Installation information:
1. Generally suitable for vehicles with the old version of the Piaggio cylinder head (slider rocker arms). Mostly fitted up to production year 2014 (but also used longer). To install the Malossi head, the rocker arms, camshaft, etc. from the OEM head must be installed in the new head. Additional power increase is achieved by using the Malossi camshaft M.5911962.
2. On newer vehicles with the newer version of the Piaggio cylinder head, which uses roller rocker arms (mostly from 2014 onward), the OEM rocker arms, camshaft, etc. cannot be used in the Malossi cylinder head. An additional valve train conversion kit must be installed. Please use KIT.PI.39402 (requires camshaft PI-8759585). (Applies only to Piaggio X-Evo 250 07-16 and Vespa GTS 250 05-16 ZAPM45100.)
