BGM PRO water pump impeller for Piaggio Maxi 125/180 LC
The BGM PRO pump impeller is made of high-strength aluminium and is CNC machined from solid material. It replaces 1:1 the plastic impeller installed ex works.

BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE
Early 125/180cc Piaggio Maxi engines, as used in the Gilera Runner FX/FXR, Piaggio Hexagon EX/LX/LXT and the popular Italjet Dragster 125/180 models, were fitted with a cast aluminium impeller for the water pump. For cost reasons Piaggio changed to a plastic wheel during production.

PLASTIC VS ALUMINIUM
The two-piece plastic wheel can come loose from the brass nut. A defect which happens unnoticed and causes a total failure of the water pump.
The one-piece BGM PRO pump wheel made of high-strength aluminium, on the other hand, is permanently stable and requires no further attention for the entire service life of the motor.

CONCLUSION
A very solid and above all durable solution for the water pump.

NOTE
The water pump wheel has a left-hand thread, therefore it is loosened by turning it clockwise.
