An NGK spark plug is supplied as a solid variant, with this type the SAE head cannot be unscrewed. The heat value and plug structure correspond to the original as it is also fitted ex works in the vehicle.
The service life of a spark plug is determined by the fuel type, engine condition, operating times and engine temperature. For 4-stroke engines from 250cc, the plugs should be cleaned or replaced after 6000km. For smaller displacements, especially 2-stroke engines, approx. every 2500 km. Even after this mileage, oil carbon deposits lead to starting difficulties and loss of power caused by the spark plug. Increased short-distance operation and poor engine oil quality can shorten the intervals.
